Marietta Theodorou-Le Mieux

Marietta Theodorou-Le Mieux was born in Thessaloniki, Greece into an eighth generation family of traditional potters who hail from the island Siphnos, Cyclades (known for its ceramic tradition).
Ms. Theorodou-Le Mieux has been decorating ceramic froms since the age of nine. Inititally learning from her family and then continuing her immersion into her craft by visiting and studying the ceramic working methods in various European nations including England, Italy, Germany and Turkey. She has been nationally recognized and sponsored by the Greek government during various stages of her career.
Her work is featured in numerous museums and craft galleries throughout Europe and the United States. She lives and works in ST. Paul, Minnesota while still mainting a home and studio in Thessaloniki, Greece.
