Maria Isayonak

Maria Isayonak was born in the village of Kiseli, Belarus in 1949.  She grew up with fields, lakes and forests by her side; enjoying nature's beauty in the  flowers, mushrooms and berries and watching the birds in the sky. Seasons came one after another and along with them their colors changed. It was through color that Maria interpreted the changes in nature. After graduating from high school she entered the Minsk College of Arts. Having acquired good skills in pictorial art, Maria created realistic paintings and portraits. The best of them were exhibited and later purchased by the National Art Museum of Minsk, Belarus. The realistic school did not satisfy Maria's impulsive nature. She longed for a richer nuance sphere. Being a person of emotion and spotaneity she works in a technique known as 'effective painting.' The artist has a delicate sensation of nature, she reproduces her own feelings and emotions in calm colors and pastel shades, intending to show the harmony between man and the world around it.
